PROTECTION AREAS

Learn how to help families protect the risks that matter most.

Agents develop a practical understanding of several common protection needs and how to have clear, needs-based conversations around them.

01

Income Protection

Learn how life insurance can help provide financial resources to the people who depend on a client's income if the insured dies.

02

Mortgage Protection

Learn how life insurance can help beneficiaries address housing obligations and other household priorities after the insured's death.

03

Final Expense

Learn how coverage can help beneficiaries address funeral, burial or cremation costs and other final financial obligations.

04

Retirement Income Protection

Learn how insurance-based strategies may fit alongside Social Security, pensions, savings and investments when clients are planning for retirement income.

PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE

Learn the products used to address those needs.

Training is designed to help agents understand what each product is built to do, where its limitations are, and how to explain available options in plain language rather than simply memorizing a sales pitch.

T

Term Life

Temporary life insurance designed to provide death-benefit protection for a defined period, subject to the policy contract.

U

Universal Life

Permanent life insurance with flexible policy mechanics that require an understanding of funding, charges, values and lapse risk.

W

Whole Life

Permanent life insurance with contract-defined premiums, benefits and guarantees that vary by policy and issuing carrier.

A

Annuities

Insurance contracts that can provide accumulation and/or income features, with guarantees, liquidity and terms determined by the specific contract.

IA
INDEPENDENT AGENT MODEL

Your carrier contracts are direct.

Safe Money Guys operates with independent agents rather than a captive-agent model. When appropriately licensed and approved for appointment, agents receive their contracts and appointments directly through the insurance carriers they represent. Carrier contracting and appointment are subject to each carrier's licensing, background, appointment, production and other applicable requirements.

This means you are building your career as an independent insurance professional while using Safe Money Guys' systems, training, technology and sales infrastructure to help you develop.

HOW WE THINK ABOUT DEVELOPMENT

The objective is not to keep you dependent on the system.

01

Learn the fundamentals

Build repeatable prospecting, communication, follow-up, needs-analysis, and sales habits instead of relying on isolated wins.

02

Earn more responsibility

As skills and consistency develop, agents can take on more of the sales process and work toward greater independence.

03

Build a durable skill set

The long-term goal is to develop agents who understand how to create opportunities, serve clients, and cultivate their own business.

WHAT THE WORK LOOKS LIKE

A system can provide structure. You still have to execute.

Insurance sales is performance-driven work. Success requires consistent activity, follow-up, learning, and the ability to handle rejection professionally. We want prospective agents to understand that before joining—not after.

CAREER PATHS

Different roles. One sales system.

Our model separates prospecting and closing so agents can develop focused skills while contributing to a coordinated sales process.

01

Junior Agent

Prospecting & Appointment Setting

Junior Agents focus on creating conversations. The role is built around disciplined outbound activity, learning how to identify interest, communicating clearly, and setting qualified appointments for the next stage of the sales process.

  • Work structured prospecting campaigns
  • Develop phone and conversation skills
  • Identify needs and create qualified opportunities
  • Schedule prospects for Senior Agents
  • Build toward greater sales responsibility over time
02

Senior Agent

Consultation & Closing

Senior Agents work with prospects who have moved beyond initial outreach. The role emphasizes needs discovery, product education, application guidance, and helping clients evaluate appropriate available insurance options.

  • Conduct scheduled client consultations
  • Evaluate needs and available options
  • Explain products in plain language
  • Guide clients through the application process
  • Support Junior Agent development and team execution
WHO MAY FIT

This may be a fit if you...

Can work consistently without constant supervision.

Activity-based roles require discipline even when a particular conversation does not produce an immediate result.

Are comfortable talking with people.

You do not need to know everything on day one, but you should be willing to communicate, listen, and improve.

Want to learn a sales process.

This is better suited to someone interested in developing a professional skill set than someone looking for a shortcut.

Can operate in a regulated industry.

Insurance requires attention to licensing, carrier requirements, disclosures, documentation, and compliant communication.

BEFORE YOU APPLY

Common questions

Do I need an insurance license?

Licensing requirements depend on the activities you perform and the jurisdictions in which you operate. Roles involving insurance solicitation, recommendations, applications, or sales generally require appropriate licensing. Specific requirements will be discussed for the position.

Is compensation guaranteed?

No. Sales compensation can be performance-based and may vary by role, production, product, carrier, compensation arrangement, and other applicable terms. No specific earnings or production level is guaranteed.

Will I receive leads or prospects?

Available prospecting systems and opportunity sources can vary by role and program. Some roles may involve outbound prospecting from provided data, while more experienced agents may also cultivate their own business.

Can a Junior Agent become a Senior Agent?

The model is designed to support skill development and increased responsibility. Advancement is not automatic and depends on demonstrated capability, consistency, licensing where required, and business needs.
